Senior Systems Administrator

We’re currently seeking a resourceful Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will provide full coverage support of all office and user level devices and services. You’ll also provide 24x7x365 production level support for data center environments. You will be responsible in ensuring the highest level of customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our end users and clients.

What you’ll be doing:
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot all corporate infrastructure systems across multiple offices across the US.
• Maintain advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Mac OS concerning maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and recovery.
• Maintain intermediate to advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems – build and troubleshoot systems, networking, security, and applications.
• Provide Tier-2/3 IT and application support for all corporate entities, which includes email, cloud-based applications, VPN, network connectivity, cabling, firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, printers, telephony, and video conferencing.
• Maintain advanced level knowledge of supporting datacenter/colocation environments, which includes racking and stacking systems, cabling, troubleshooting network issues, power, cooling, and service providers.
• Provide hands-on Tier-2/3 support of a 24x7x365 production environment.
• Work closely with local and remote systems engineers, application and client support teams for both collaboration and remote hands.
• Maintain and update all systems documentation, policies, and procedures for both corporate and production infrastructures with high regard for standards.
• Occasionally provide tier-1 IT support for all user related issues when necessary.
• Be able to take to direction but also take ownership of projects as needed.
• Be able to recommend and evaluate new technologies, policies, and procedures.

Skills and experience we’re seeking:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in IT/IS or related experience in systems administration and IT support.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience supporting 24x7x365 production environments in colocation facilities.
• Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012, 2016).
• Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS/Red Hat).
• Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Intermediate level knowledge of LDAP (Open-source/389).
• Hands-on experience with datacenters and enterprise hardware.
• Proficient in maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting: Routers (Cisco), Firewalls (Cisco ASA), Switches (Cisco Catalyst, HP), Wifi (Cisco, Meraki), Protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, CIFS, HTTP/S).
• Proficient in maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting: HP or Dell Servers or equivalent, Cisco UCS, Virtualization (VMware, Xen), Dell Compellent SAN.
• Must be self-motivated, capable of troubleshooting, and possess the ability to work reliably and responsibly both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and time constraints.
• Ability and willingness to work off-hours, on-call rotation and on weekends as necessary.
• Travel as required, up to 30%.

And you’ll really get our attention if you have:
• MCSA, CCNA, and/or MCSE certifications.
• Scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python) and automation (Puppet, Ansible) experience.
